Project Description
We’re excited to share the first spotlight in our recently completed roofing project for the Lake Maria Condominium Association in Palos Park, IL. This extensive project included full roof replacements on 16 residential buildings, and we’re proud to announce that all buildings are now complete.
Today, we're taking a closer look at Building 1, the first in the series to receive its new roof.
Project Overview
The goal of the Lake Maria roof replacement project was to enhance curb appeal, improve long-term durability, and ensure better weather protection for the community's residents. Over the course of the project, each building received careful attention—from tear-off and inspection to final installation and cleanup.
Material Spotlight: GAF Timberline HDZ Shingles
For Building 1 (and the entire project), we used GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in the Shakewood color. This shingle was chosen for both its performance and aesthetic qualities:
Advanced LayerLock™ Technology for superior durability
WindProven™ Limited Wind Warranty when installed with GAF accessories
Rich, dimensional color that enhances the overall look of the buildings
The Shakewood color adds a warm, natural tone that complements the existing architecture and surrounding environment beautifully.
Building 1 – Before & After
We began with a full tear-off of the existing roofing system to inspect the decking and ensure a solid foundation for the new installation. From there, our crew installed underlayment and flashing, followed by the Timberline HDZ shingles. The transformation was immediate—not just in appearance, but also in performance and peace of mind for the residents.
