New Roof Installation in Palatine, IL with GAF Timberline HDZ Shingles – Appalachian Sky
We recently completed a full roof replacement in Palatine, IL, featuring GAF Timberline® HDZ shingles in Appalachian Sky — a vibrant, dimensional color that truly enhances the home’s curb appeal.
Our team began by protecting the home and surrounding landscape before tearing off up to two layers of old roofing. We inspected the roof deck, re-nailed any loose wood, and replaced damaged sheathing if needed. All pipe jacks were replaced, and bathroom or kitchen vent connections were handled as required.
The new roof system included high-performance GAF components:
72” Ice & Water Shield at gutter lines and 36” in valleys
Synthetic FeltBuster® underlayment
Pro-Start® starter shingles
Color-matched drip edge around rakes
Cobra® ridge vent for attic ventilation
Seal-A-Ridge® cap shingles for a clean finish
Shingles were installed using 6 nails per shingle to ensure durability and wind resistance.
