Buffalo Grove Home Gets a Full Exterior Refresh
We’re excited to showcase a recently completed exterior renovation in Buffalo Grove, IL, where our team transformed the look and durability of a home with brand new vinyl siding, gutters, and downspouts.
The project began with the removal of the home’s existing aluminum siding. Our crew thoroughly inspected the underlying structure, replacing any damaged plywood as needed. Next, we installed ¼” fanfold insulation and Tyvek house wrap, carefully taping all seams to ensure long-term protection from moisture and drafts.
For a standout finish, the front of the house now features board and batten vinyl siding, while the sides and rear are finished with classic horizontal vinyl siding. To enhance the aesthetic and durability, we also capped all windows and doors with aluminum coil, in a color selected by the homeowner.
Special attention was given to the two front entry pillars, where we removed the aging wood and installed James Hardie panels with 1x4 trim, preserving the original design with a high-quality, low-maintenance upgrade.
We also replaced the home’s full gutter system with new seamless 5” K-style aluminum gutters and oversized downspouts to improve drainage and protect the foundation from water damage.
