Roof Replacement Completed – Elgin, IL
We recently completed a full roof replacement for a homeowner in Elgin, IL, giving their home a durable and updated look with GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Barkwood—a warm, timeless color that complements a variety of home styles.
Our team began by carefully protecting the landscaping and removing the existing roofing down to the deck. We re-nailed loose boards, inspected for any damage, and replaced wood where needed. Key upgrades included new pipe jacks, 72” of Ice & Water Shield at gutter lines, and synthetic felt (FeltBuster) for superior underlayment protection.
We finished the installation with Pro-Start starter shingles, Cobra Ridge Vent, and Seal-A-Ridge cap shingles, all part of the GAF system for enhanced ventilation and long-term durability. All materials and colors were matched as closely as possible to existing trim for a seamless finish.
The project includes a Manufacturer’s Lifetime Limited Warranty and a 10-Year Workmanship Warranty. As always, our team wrapped up with a thorough cleanup and magnetic sweep—no dumpsters, just efficient, custom trailers.
